There are some things in life that I just cannot get enough of. Top of my list right now? Collared necklaces, Space Invader crisps (don't ask - mild obsession) and scarves. Probably not a massive shock because of the ridiculous chill that lingers outside of your warm duvet right now (yes, it's 5pm, get out of the duvet - you know who you are).

Anyway, it has become somewhat of a habit - I enter a shop, look around and almost every time - leave with a new scarf (no it's not a choice, I just can't quite help it). My latest purchase came in the form of this beautiful porcelain printed number from Topshop:
Topshop
Yes, it's quite a beauty isn't it? And trust me it looks even more sublime with my dark blue, leather collared blazer I just bought from Topshop. I'm not even going to say that I accidently purchased that one - I just flat out bought it. There, I said it.

And it seems that this slight scarf obsession may be getting slightly out of control. Because I've stepped up a few gears (you'll see). But the thing is? I just don't really care, because I just love them all far too much to stop. So I put a few of my favs together for you to have a little look at.

Yes, you did spy a couple of McQueen's in there (I told you I'd stepped up in the scarf stakes). I don't usually play favourites with my scarves, but if my bedroom was burning? I'd grab them. There is something about a McQueen scarf, the way it sits, the beautiful stitching, and the insatiable prints. I adore them - probably the brown one slightly more (sorry Greenie).

There are some beautiful silk scarves out there right now - just waiting for you to pick them up and take them home - Topshop probably have the best selection, so I'd start there. Their versatility will make them one of your top wardrobe staples - I just pray for your sake, you don't develop my obsession.

"My name is Marcella and I have a McQueen scarf obsession."

Round of Applause

Well done, you did good, go girl...

Well done to the sensational and ultimately hilarious (yes, I'm still laughing at Bridesmaids) Rose Bryne who dared to wear a jumpsuit for the SAGS, 2012. Dressed in Elie Saab, with Chanel jewellery and a Lena Erziak clutch, I just couldn't help but applaud when she stepped out of the trail of black cars, with a fabulous new 'do to boot. An experiment it may have been, but it seems that the results were astonishing. Step aside red-carpet long-length gowns - there's a new trend in town. And I for one, am a huge fan.

Everywhere I Look

And so it seems there is one trend that is literally, everywhere I look. Walking around Warehouse - BAM, there they are. Walking around Topshop - BAM there they are. Walking around River Island - BAM there they are. Okay, okay, you get where this is going.

Anyway, the trend in question? Printed jeans. And so to prove that they are everywhere - like people's failed diets at the moment - I took pictures to prove it.

Okay, so I think I've made my point that there really is no getting away from  printed jeans. Everywhere you look - they are staring you in the face, in all of our high-street stores. At first it took a little convincing - was I initially 100% in love with them? No.  But over-exposure has convinced me slightly more. And my favourites? These pretty little heart-patterned numbers from River Island:

And so I turned to a woman who probably knows how to work this trend better than anyone. And to be honest, if you looked like this in them - why wouldn't you fall head over skinny for this trend?

Wishlist Post 1

Wandering around town today, I came across a few things which were, quite simply, 'me.' Although the student loan is looking a little (that's a lie, a lot) stretched at the moment, these few items have certainly been added to my wishlist - and will, without doubt, soon be hanging in my wardrobe along with some other recently bought items (don't tell the bank. Oh wait, they already know.)

And so for the items found today:

This Sparkle and Fade Chiffon Tassel Blouse from Urban Outfitters, along with the utterly fabulous Lace Crop Top - which are ultimately crying out to be worn together (perhaps when the temperature knocks up a few degrees.)

And oh no, don't be silly - these aren't the only things which have gone onto my arm-length (body length, in reality) want-list. Taking up residence next to these Urban Outfitter numbers are the following from, you guessed it, Topshop:

Anyway, I'm off to cry into my bank statement and wish list - I'll be the girl with puffy eyes.

Before The Man Himself...

Well, well, well, what can I say? It seems that yesterday's post really was on the mark. Lookie, look what was brought to my attention this morning, by, um, This Morning:

Yes, that's right, it's a too fabulous for words collar. Karl Lagerfeld's collection for Net-A-Porter was released on the 25th and possibly one of his best creations? This oh-so-beautiful and oh-so-me (as yesterday proved) accessory. Get it before it goes. Go on, move it.

My New Love: Collar Necklaces

Get a necklace. Put it under your shirt collar. BAM, you have what I have coined: The Collar Necklace (did I really come up with this term? Not sure. Doubtful.)

Anyway, it's my new-found-love, the perfect way to mix-up your silk blouse that you've probably had hanging in your wardrobe, since last season. I've put a few examples together, just to help you on your fashion way:

Both necklaces from Topshop, the top one being the definition of a 'collar necklace' (no guesses why) and the second one, a twist on the traditional collar necklace - but just as perfect under a collar.

However, if you don't share my massive love for shirts, either necklace would be perfect over a high-collared top or dress:

So go on, make a change to your trusty silk shirt - you'll thank me for it.

Fashion Bloodhound

Whilst we are getting to know eachother, I thought I'd let you know where I hide out when I'm not settling in here. Over at Fashion Bloodhound's blog, that's where. Senior Fashion Writer. I know, I know. That's me!

Fashion Bloodhound was launched in March - selling pre-loved designer delights. The clothes are truly gorgeous, in superb condition and are brilliantly priced. I may be guilty of buying a few little gems on there myself (okay, a few may be a bit of a lie, more like a lot). Mulberry Bayswater, McQueen Scarf, Sonia Rykiel dress - the list goes on (and on).

Over at Fashion Bloodhound's blog we bring you everything you need to know, exactly when you need to know it. So be sure to check it out, I'll see you over there.

Oh, I Didn't See You There - Welcome...

Hello and welcome - have a look around, take a peek, make a comment. It's nice to be here, I hope it's nice for you too. There are very few things you need to know about me right away, but as it's my first post, I thought I'd let you in on ten - judge away:

1. Avid vegetarian, complete animal lover.
2. Matching shoes, handbags and earrings make me feel nauseous.
3. I will forever love Converse - don't care if they're fashionable or not.
4. The more bangles the better.
5. My Michael Kors watch is probably my best item ever bought.
6. My head is too big to fit into most hats.
7. Therefore, I rarely wear hats.
8. Silk scarves are gorgeous - especially if the label says McQueen (you know it).
9. Complete olive obsessive - connoisseur, if I say so myself.
10. Lover of headbands.
